Carried out a survey on child labourers in Thane District.

An Evaluation conducted on Aasara by NirmalaNiketanCollege of Social Work - Research Unit, Mumbai.
Participated in Child Labour advocacy and supported the government's effort of rehabilitation of rescued child labourers.
Began 4 special schools with approximately 45 children in each class – an educational project for child labourers National Child - Labour Project (in collaboration with the Central Government) for 3 years.
Inaugurated "Suraksha Drop-in-Shelter for Girls", a two floor building, at Neral, Maharashtra.
Aasara commenced a 2 year HIV/AIDS awareness project in Thane. |

Inaugurated a youth center at Vithalwadifor HIV/AIDS project. |
2007 |
On 30thNovemeberinaugurated the Thane Childline "1098"
3 children from Drop-in-Shelter for boys at Digha created a milestone by passing the Xth Standard Board Examination (S.S.C.) and gaining admission to First Year Junior College.

2008 |
National Child Labour Project concluded successfully by mainstreaming 117 child labourers to formal municipal schools. |
2009 |
4 boys and 1 girl passed the Xth Standard Board Examination(S.S.C.) |
2010 |
SarvaShikshanAbhiyan projects were successfully completed in Mumbai, Thane and Vithalwadi. 85 children were admitted to formal Municipal Schools.
New non-formal educational classes namely Balwadis were started. One Balwadi at Vithalwadi, two at Kalwa, one at Neral and one at Karjat.
Group home was started for the 7 college going students of Aasara |
2011 |
The four college boys who were rehabilitated have passed. Two Boys are in their final year of Graduation. Three college boys have passed XII StandardBoard Examination (HSC) and have taken admission for higher studies.
They work, cook their own food and continue to live in the group home.
One girl of Suraksha Drop-in-Shelter passed the Xth Standard and is now pursuing higher studies. |
2012 |
Aasara’s 2 boys, Chander Chavan and Sachin Sonawane completed their graduation.
Aasara’s 2 girls Priyanka Kamble and Laxmi Kudalian passed S.S.C |
2013 |
Bhushan Yashwante and Kalpesh Mohite passed S.S.C with 75% and 51% respectively.
Suraksha girl shelter ‘s Priyanka Ahire and Priyanka Hirwe passed S.S.C with 75%
Priyanka Kamble and Laxmi Kudalian passed first year of ITI course.
Fatima Shaikh passed H.S.C with 82% from YB Chavan University

Vijay Iyer passed S.S.C and is currently pursuing catering course in YMCA
Gaurav Patil passed S.S.C with 50% and currently pursuing course in ITI
Ujwala Pagare passed S.S.C with 67% and is pursuing course in ITI |

Vaibhav Khairnar becomes first student of Aasara to get enrolled for MBA.
